Su estructura molecular consiste en \u00e1tomos de carbono unidos a \u00e1tomos de fl\u00faor, creando un enlace carbono-fl\u00faor excepcionalmente fuerte. Este enlace confiere al PTFE varias caracter\u00edsticas notables:\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li><b>Resistencia al calor: <\/b>El PTFE puede soportar altas temperaturas sin perder sus propiedades mec\u00e1nicas, lo que lo hace ideal para aplicaciones a altas temperaturas (hasta 327\u00b0).<\/li>\n<li><b>Antiadherente - excelente coeficiente de fricci\u00f3n: <\/b>La superficie del PTFE es extremadamente lisa, lo que lo hace antiadherente. Por eso se utiliza com\u00fanmente en recubrimientos antiadherentes para utensilios de cocina, moldes industriales y otras aplicaciones industriales donde la reducci\u00f3n de la fricci\u00f3n y la adherencia es esencial.<\/li>\n<li><b>Resistencia qu\u00edmica: <\/b>El PTFE es altamente resistente a una amplia gama de productos qu\u00edmicos: \u00e1cidos (\u00f3leum, agua regia, \u00e1cido n\u00edtrico fumante), bases (sosa o potasa concentradas), alcoholes, cetonas e hidrocarburos.
