To ensure the watertightness of penstocks, upstream of the reservoirs, the joint must compensate for thermal and mechanical variations, hence the term expansion.

On these applications, the seal compensates for very slight movements, eccentricities, expansions and tilts.

Waterproofing expansion
Features and applications
  • Linear movement
  • Single-acting seal
  • Radial compensation capability
  • Adaptable to existing throat dimensions
  • Max. pressure 40 MPa
  • Developed for sealing expansion joints
  • Also adapted for rotating rings when a seal is placed in each direction of pressure
  • The misalignments and inclinations relative to the axis are compensated by radial adaptability.
  • Easy and efficient setup thanks to robust construction
  • For revisions, the system can be adapted to existing grooves.
